Notes from Vietnam Athletics Federation:

The registration to participate in Vietnam International Half Marathon 2024 has acknowledged your consent. And at the same time, you have understood and ensured the implementation of the terms specified in the regulations at: http://vietnaminternationalhalfmarathon.vn/ and within the online registration system, regardless of whether you agree and sign this commitment or not.

If you have registered and have changed the name, for another person to participate in the competition, you must ensure that that person accepts and complies with the terms and conditions at http://vietnaminternationalhalfmarathon.vn/ and within the event registration system.

The terms and conditions set forth below are in addition to the terms and conditions at the event registration page, operated by https://actiup.net/.

After considering the organizer’s approval for me to participate in the competition on January 1st, 2024, I agree with the document to waive this right to claim compensation and assume this risk.

 

  1. I have read and understand the rules of the competition, and the information related to the competition.
  2. I understand that participating in the competition requires physical training and preparation. I declare that I have trained enough for this competition, and that I am not aware of any illness, injury or physical inability to cause injury or death to me while participating in the competition.
  3. If I become aware of a health problem, or I am ill or injured before or during the competition, I will withdraw from the competition.
  4. I acknowledge and understand that while participating in the competition:

• I could be injured, physically or mentally, or die from various reasons, including, but not limited to, overexertion, dehydration, heart attack, slip, trip, or fall, accidents with other participants, spectators and others present at the competing venue, or accidents caused by my own actions;

• My personal property may be lost or damaged;

• I could cause injury to others or damage their property;

The conditions of the competition are subject to change without prior notice;

  • I assume the risk and responsibility for any injury, death or property damage as a result of my participation in the competition.
  1. I agree that if I am injured or in need of medical assistance, the Organizer may arrange for medical treatment and emergency transportation if deemed necessary, and I will cover all the expenses. I agree that I am solely responsible for insurance coverage for medical expenses and medical transportation.
  2. I agree to release and hold harmless the Organizer, officials, employees, agents, volunteers, contract partners, public authorities, land owners and other sponsors, from any claim, demand, interest or cause of action, suit, expense and proceeding of any kind, made by me, or on behalf of me or by other parties, resulting from any injury, loss, damage or death to me or to my property as a result of my participation in the competition, whether by negligence, contract failure or any other reason.
  3. I also agree that if I am injured or my property is damaged, I will not seek compensation, claim liability or otherwise, from the Organizers, for that injury and damage.
  4. I agree to allow my name, results, photos, videos, multimedia or movies to be used for any lawful purpose by the Organizer without charge or compensation.
  5. I acknowledge that the Organizer may change the running route from the advertised content without notice if they deem it necessary. I also confirm that the Organizer may cancel the competition due to weather conditions, safety conditions, terrorist activities, supernatural issues, force majeure circumstances, which the Organizer cannot anticipate. In such cases, my attendance fee will not be refunded.
  6. I certify that my (or authorized person’s) signing of the receipt of the RACE KIT means that I have checked and received fully and accurately my BIB number, timing chip, gifts from the Organizer and sponsors. I am solely responsible for the loss of BIB and chip after receiving it from the Organizer.
  7. I agree to abide by the rules of the competiton and the instructions of the Organizer.

SECTION FOR LEGAL SPONSOR OF PARTICIPANTS UNDER THE AGE OF 18

I certify that I am the legal sponsor of the athletes under the age of 18 listed below. And by signing this document as sponsor, I consent to the following athletes participating in the competition. I certify that I have carefully read, understood and agree to apply the terms of this disclaimer to my sponsored athletes’ participation in the competition.

NOTES:

– All athletes participating in the competition must completely fill in the disclaimer and submit it to the Organizer before the start of the competition. Athletes who do not fill out this waiver or submit it to the Organizer will be disqualified.

– Young athletes must be authorized by a legal sponsor to participate in the competition. Sponsors for young athletes must complete and sign the Section for sponsor and submit this document to the Organizer at the time of BIB receiving.
